Over 112 Years of Leadership in Precious Metals Business Japan
In 1892, we at Ginza Tanaka originally called "Shimizu Shoten", started business as a retailer of precious metals accessories in Asakusa, Tokyo. Our founder, Kamekichi Yamazaki, was the first person in Japan to utilize the K18(18 Karat gold) and K24(24 Karat gold) for the gold measurement system to judge the quality of gold. He became widely known as a pioneer in the world of precious metals and created a successful business here in Japan.
